Dr. Corey S. Weinstein is a pediatric urology fellow with Georgia Urology and Emory University/Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA). He grew up outside of Chicago, Illinois, and graduated from Colgate University in Hamilton, New York with a degree in English literature. Before entering medical school, Dr. Weinstein earned his Master of Science in public health from the Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. He earned his medical degree from the Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine in Miami, Florida in 2018.
Dr. Weinstein completed his general surgery internship and urology residency at the State University of New York Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn, New York, where he discovered his passion for pediatric and reconstructive urology. During his residency, Dr. Weinstein’s academic work focused on questioning reconstructive dogma and minimizing the use of opioids for post-operative pain. He has presented this work at several national and international meetings. He is thrilled to be pursuing subspecialty training with Georgia Urology, CHOA, and Emory University.
In his free time, Dr. Weinstein enjoys traveling, reading, and scuba diving. When not on an adventure, he is typically at home making ice cream and experimenting with new and exotic flavors.
